About Asher.
Following a series of significant life events, including the diagnosis of a progressive rare blood cancer in 2010, I shifted gears from a corporate existence to focus on health and wellbeing.
Now holding qualifications in leadership, coaching and mentoring, I am a certified HeartMath and Wim Hof Method instructor, as well as a KRI-certified Kundalini Yoga teacher. I have further studied in Jungian core concepts, epigenetics, geobiology and the social psychology of sport.
I currently sit on the Executive Council of Meditation Australia, the national peak body for meditation teachers and was previously the organisation’s longest-serving president, commencing a seven-year tenure in 2017.
In the same year, I founded global mythopoetic community, The Fifth Direction.
I am a published poet, a former editor at the The Good Men Project and a TEDx speaker.
My men’s program, The Way, was nominated as a finalist in the 2021 Australian Men’s Health Forum Awards, while I was recognised as a Men’s Health Leader the following year.
I am an Associate Member of the Jung Society of Melbourne, a member of the Friends of William Stafford, the Ted Hughes Society and the Joseph Campbell Foundation.
In 2004, I founded PR agency, The Sauce, servicing clients in Australia before the opening of a London office in 2006 led to expansion across Europe, South-East Asia, China, India, Africa and the Middle East.
Earlier, I spent five years with AOL (formerly AOL Time Warner) as a regional Vice President, leading consumer and corporate communications in Asia and Europe.
I held a seat on the European PR Director’s Roundtable, and was also engaged in senior roles at Burson-Marsteller and Ogilvy PR, as well as being a member of the Executive Committee at Sony Electronics Australia.
In my youth, I flew hot-air balloons in many parts of the world and still enjoy watching their colourful display in the skies above my home near Byron Bay, Australia.
