Deeper Well: Grief & Celebration Circle

“Death comes in the middle of a long life.”

This Irish proverb goes back to ancient understandings of initiation and the wisdom that comes from the awareness and acceptance of death as a teacher. The soul's journey is closely intertwined with the experience of death. Rather than being seen as an end, it is an essential aspect of the cycle of life. As such, embracing our own mortality leads to a deeper revealing of our true nature.

Wendy Haynes offers a monthly grief and celebration circle, an intimate and confidential space to express the love and grief that may not be possible to share in usual circumstances. This is a coming together of the village in a way that supports a sense of belonging and friendship — and is able to hold both the tears and the laughter.

With Asher Packman, we begin to see death in a different light as we drink from the deeper well of poetry and storytelling. It’s clear we can call ourselves into presence in no more powerful way.

Wendy is an award-winning celebrant with nearly three decades of experience at funerals, memorials, weddings, namings and more. She is the author of many related books and resources and is a teacher to celebrants around the world.
